KRS Fabrications has been building gates, fence lines and custom steel in Lubbock since 2004. Same shop, same bench, twenty-two years of West Texas wind and caliche dust deciding what actually holds up out here.
We design, fabricate and install everything ourselves, start to finish. Nobody hands the job off to a subcontractor partway through. That matters most after the gate is already hanging: the people who show up for the service call are the same people who welded it, and they know exactly what is under the powder coat.
One shop, three kinds of customer
The same bench builds all of it.
One week it is an ornamental pedestrian gate with a laser-cut star panel for a brick home. The next it is a galvanized cantilever slide gate going up behind razor wire at an industrial yard. Residential, commercial and industrial work all run through the same shop, which is not something most gate builders in this market can say.
The sharpest thing we do rarely ends up on a gate at all: custom tooling and fixtures, fabricated to a drawing, for turbine crews working the wind corridor here in West Texas. It is one-off metal built to somebody else's spec instead of off a shelf, and it takes the same discipline as a gate that still has to swing true a decade from now.
We also weld aluminum as well as steel, work a lot of gate shops send out to somebody else. Bring the part in, or send a photo of the break, and it usually stays in-house. That same range is why a rolling library ladder built for a customer's own pantry sits in the same portfolio as an industrial slide gate holding a construction yard closed overnight.
