Chapter 01
Lubbock sits in the middle of the corridor, and the tooling has to come from somewhere
A crew already staged on site does not get its day back waiting on a fixture shipped in from somewhere else. Freight time is lost time on a job where the crew is the expensive part, not the steel.
KRS fabricates custom tooling and fixtures for wind turbine work out of the Lubbock shop, without that wait. It is a real point of difference: no other gate shop in this market advertises wind-energy tooling as work it does.

Made to a drawing, not to a catalogue
Treating a one-off fixture like a gate is the wrong instinct. A gate gets built to a site and an opening. A fixture gets built to a print, and a print does not leave room to eyeball a tolerance because it looked close enough.
Tolerances come from the print, the material is what the print specifies, and the finished part gets checked against the drawing rather than against a photograph. Different discipline, same welding bench, same people who build the gates.
Chapter 03
Industrial gates and yard security belong in the same conversation
A wind-energy yard, a staging site or a substation is not secured the same way a driveway is. Residential-grade hardware on an industrial gate is a gate that was never built for the cycle count it is about to see.
Galvanized cantilever gates with heavy corrugated infill, commercial-grade operators and fence lines built for daily use, not occasional use. One gate in the gallery sits behind razor wire, which is what that specification actually looks like once it is built and installed.

What a tooling job needs from you
- A drawing or a dimensioned sketch, not a verbal description
- The material the print calls for, if one is specified
- What the piece has to withstand once it is in service
- How many are needed, since a fixture is rarely a one-piece run
